Lower Key Stage Two
Mrs Booth and Mrs Barker
Miss Bowers and Mrs Smith
Mrs Dodds, Mrs Heaps and Mrs Leech
Welcome to Y3/4, where there are three classes, taught by Mrs Booth, Miss Bowers and Mrs Heaps and Mrs Dodds (who share a class) and supported by Mrs Barker, Mrs Leech and Mrs Smith. Our topic, in Autumn, is Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. You can find our weekly timetable and curriculum overviews below.
If your child is self-isolating, please log into your child’s Microsoft Teams account. For day 1 and day 2 of self-isolation there will be an assignment set for them to complete. From day 3, they will asked to log onto Teams and access the live sessions of the day (the teacher will post a message with the times once they know your child is at home).
We will be looking for children to be reading at home with their parents or carers. Listening to children read will enable them to grow in confidence as they become fluent readers.
We encourage your child to complete as many of the activities from the menu as they like at home, but NO LESS than 3 over the half term. This can be recorded (if appropriate) in our home books. We will ask for homework books on the last Monday of each half term in order for us to share and celebrate the learning.
Below is an example of a typical week in LKS2.
Our PE days are:
Monday and Friday
Monday 4th October – Climate Change Workshop at St Giles’ Church
Thursday 14th October – Parents Evening
Wednesday 20th and Friday 22nd October -Lego Workshops at Newcastle College
