What is an Agent of Change?

An agent of change is a person or group of people who initiates, drives and supports change in their community or organisation. To use at St Giles' & St George's, an agent of change is a person that seeks to make a positive, God-inspired difference to our community and the wider world. We hope to empower our pupils to be courageous advocates for justice.

In order to help inspire our pupils, each year group has their own 'Agent of Change' who they will learn about throughout the year. The work and impact of their agent will inspire them to stand up for what they believe in and make their own contributions to change in our world.

Who inspires us to be Agents of Change?

    Orchard Neil Armstrong

    Year 1 Queen Elizabeth

    Year 2 Simone Biles

    Year 3 Marcus Rashford

    Year 4 David Attenborough

    Year 5 Katherine Johnson

    Year 6 Malala Yousafzai

During the year, pupils will decide on changes and charities important to them and, as a class or year group, will complete activities, fundraisers and more to help others around the world.

How have we been Agents of Change?

Worship Council - Leading Prayer Spaces

Our wonderful Worship Council have spent lots of time with Reverend Clare to explore, plan and deliver Prayer Spaces for our whole school. These opportunities for reflection included appreciating God's creations, thanking Him for our friends, blowing away our worries and sins, Fizzy Forgiveness and asking God big questions. All pupils loved exploring prayer through creative, personal and fun ways.
