We want pupils to play an active and positive role in all aspects of school life.

We believe that all children should be given the opportunity to lead an initiative or hold a position of responsibility that impacts the school as a whole, so we offer a wide range of leadership roles in teams.

Leadership roles we offer are:

Head Boy and Head Girl

The post holder will act as an ambassador for the school at internal and external events, contribute to assemblies, and serve as a link between pupils and staff by presenting pupil views and suggestions. They will work collaboratively with other pupil leadership teams and will model the school's values through their conduct, attitude and commitment.

Prefects

Prefects are responsible for supporting younger pupils during lunchtimes and break times, acting as courteous ambassadors when welcoming visitors, and helping to ensure that everyone feels safe and cared for around the school. They are expected to model the school's values through exemplary behaviour, good manners and a positive approach to their learning.

Worship Council

The Worship Council is responsible for preparing the worship area each morning, greeting pupils as they enter the hall, and leading simple prayers and songs during collective worship. Members work closely with senior leaders to plan and prepare key events across the school year, helping to ensure that worship is meaningful, reverent and inclusive for all.

Online Safety Leaders

Online Safety Leaders act as pupil advocates for safe and responsible technology use. They share key messages and guidance with their peers, contribute to the planning and delivery of online safety assemblies, and design posters that reinforce the school's SMART rules, helping to promote a culture of awareness and responsibility across the school.

Eco Council 

The Eco Council is responsible for promoting environmental awareness and helping to maintain the school grounds, woodland area and playgrounds. Members carry out audits and surveys on waste, energy and travel, and use their findings to plan and lead campaigns such as switching off lights and reducing litter. The council meets regularly to review progress, set targets and agree future actions, helping to develop a culture of sustainability across the school.

Sports Leaders 

Sports Leaders are responsible for setting up, leading and tidying away games and equipment during lunchtimes. Working under the guidance of the PE Lead, they use a range of team-based games to promote cooperation, fair play and good sportsmanship, and they encourage younger pupils to take part in new activities with confidence.
