Sports Premium Funding

As part of the Olympic Games 2012 legacy, all schools receive additional funding to enhance the quality of PE teaching and develop school sport. At St. Giles’ & St. George’s CE Academy, we are committed to using this funding sustainably to ensure long-lasting impact on our pupils’ health, wellbeing and physical development.

How We Use Our Sports Premium Funding

We invest our funding to:

• Create sustainable improvements that will benefit pupils now and in future years.
• Increase and improve PE equipment to support high-quality, engaging lessons.
• Broaden participation opportunities by introducing more sports that are accessible to all children.
• Enhance swimming provision to ensure every child has improved access to swimming facilities and the opportunity to develop essential water-safety skills.

Our aim is to ensure every pupil experiences high-quality physical education, develops a lifelong love of sport, and has the opportunity to be active, confident, and healthy.
