Year 5 Space


Jodrell Bank

In September, Year 5 visited Jodrell Bank as part of their Earth and Space topic. As we neared closer, we could see a giant white structure, which we soon found out to be the Lovell Telescope and it is the third largest in the world! We carried out scientific experiments to observe how healthy astronauts are in space, investigated how meteors affect the moon’s surface and also made the fire that would allow a rocket to take off.
