Year 3 Poole’s Cavern
Year 3 went to visit a real cave in Buxton called Poole’s Cavern. We had the best time! We observed how different Derbyshire is to Staffordshire, especially our town of Newcastle. We found out so much information about limestone, caves and how they are formed. The tour guide turned out the lights on us and we experienced completed darkness! Plus, we went on a woodland walk up to Solomon’s Temple.
Take a look at the photos of our day!
First we looked around the Visitor Centre at all the artefacts that had been found in the caves.
Then we ventured into the caves!
Then after lunch we took a walk through the woods up to Solomon’s Temple.
